Responsibilities:
Act as a friendly face and first point of contact for new Muslims attending the center.
Offer guidance and answer basic questions about prayer, community events, and available resources.
Support the distribution of New Muslim Welcome Gift boxes and informational materials.
Help organize and set up regular gatherings, educational sessions, and social events for new Muslims.
Assist in managing event logistics, including registration, seating, refreshments, and other necessary arrangements.
Encourage new Muslims to participate in community events and introduce them to other members.
Assist in preparing, organizing, and distributing educational materials and resources tailored to new Muslims.
Maintain an inventory of welcome boxes and ensure they are ready for distribution as needed.
Support the development of additional resources or handouts under the direction of the New Muslim Support Coordinator.
Offer friendship, support, and encouragement to new Muslims to help them feel welcomed and included.
Provide basic mentorship or introduce new Muslims to established mentorship opportunities.
Encourage new Muslims to participate in various programs and activities that help deepen their understanding of Islam.
Work with the Program Manager to promote awareness of the center's new Muslim support initiatives.
Engage in outreach efforts to inform the broader community about available support for new Muslims.
Participate in occasional fundraising or awareness events to support the program's goals.
Essential:
Basic knowledge of Islamic practices and teachings; understanding of the new Muslim experience is highly beneficial.
Friendly, welcoming, and empathetic; able to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Commitment to scheduled volunteer shifts and timely communication with the team.
Ability to interact with respect and sensitivity, especially with those adapting to new beliefs and cultural practices.
Have a current or have applied for an OCHRE card
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Passion for community service.
Reasonable understanding the UMNT Inc. organisation.
Uphold professional standards.
All religious activities undertaken by UMNT will be in line with the Qur'an and Sunnah, based on Sunni teachings and not restricted to any particular madhab. Practices will not be based influenced by sectarian, ideological, political or any particular organization's teachings. All volunteers are expected to respect and abide by this.
Training:
All new volunteers will undergo an orientation program to familiarize them with UMNT values, policies, and procedures.
Continual training and PD meetings will focus on communication techniques for professional interactions with parents, teachers, and students.

To conduct social and educational activities that engage youth
To conduct youth led wider community engagement including Dawah activities.
To develop continuity plan for and recruitment of likeminded youth engagement workers.
To work as part of the Youth Empowerment Strategy (YES) Working Group
Develop project plans including budgeting and persons involved.
Promote UMNT activities amongst youth.
Essential:
Have a current or have applied for an OCHRE card
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Experience with small to medium sized youth groups
Have completed leadership or facilitator training courses

Arrange carpets on ground and first floor.
Test and tune microphone and speaker.
Organise roster of Khateeb for the next three months and approved with your line manager.
Turn on fans, aircons and for a pleasant Jumu’ah experience for worshippers.
Coordinate: Azaan times (First and second), Khateeb arrival time, Khutbah start and finish time and Salah ending time on the day.
Ensuring donation points are charged and placed in appropriate places.
Ensuring exits are clear and main entrance closed at time of Salah.
Ensuring First Aid kit is stocked and replenished.
Assist in arranging carpets back, turning lights, fans and aircon off.
Printing or developing digital signage.

Setting up QA front desk.
Addressing and guiding all parent concerns.
Communicating with parents, teachers and students clearly though approved channels regarding QA announcements and policies.
Develop, maintain, and update all class attendance, exam scores and student database.

Presenting progress and critical areas of improvement to manager on a quarterly basis.

Arrange quarterly professional development sessions with teachers and managers.
Preparing student packs for new enrolments.

Coordinating relief teacher allocation.

Outline of the regular front desk operations, including handling queries, setting up the front desk, and managing communication channels will be briefed.
Continual training and PD meetings will focus on communication techniques for professional interactions with parents, teachers, and students.
Conditions:
Hours of work:This position is Part-time 8 hrs per week with regular and weekend work.
QA operation hours: Sat- Sun 10AM– 1PM
